Tim Ferries, the best-selling author of “The 4-Hour Workweek”, suggests six ways to work happily and effectively, leading to better work- life balance.
One: Keep your emotion as positive as possible in the morning. Start the day with negative feelings would possibly affect your whole workday events and performance.
Two: Do not check email in the morning, especially during the first hour of the day. Replying emails is not the priority of the day. Also, messages in the email may lead to negative feelings and ruin the rest of the day.
Three: Manage time well to work effectively by planning and balancing available time and tasks.
Four: Stay focus on your work. Tim recommends starting the day with working at home for 90 minutes to get away from any distractions.
Five: Encourage self-discipline and organize your workday routine.
Six: Set the goal for a day in advance and list the required tasks to achieve this goal. Such plan helps decrease anxiety during the day and the following day.
