STEM I Local Wisdom and Young Innovators

STEM I Local Wisdom and Young Innovators, under mentor corporative development project 2018 contributed knowledge exchange, development, innovation, creative teaching, and create community activities by adopting STEM. STEM can be adapted to daily life and develop quality of Rajamangala University of Technology Lana learning outcome of students in the future. RMUTL focus on science and technology by providing academic services activities in northern part which consist of 6 provinces such as Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Tak, Lampang, Pisanulok, and Nan which aimed to provide academic and higher vocational study that emphasized on teaching, practice, research and produce vocational teachers that provide academic service in science and technology to society. There were many participants in this activity by oral presentation, seminar, poster presentation, and exhibition. Ajarn Wisoot said that “Integrated STEM camp had support students from networking STEM study schools where RMUTL had adapted innovation based on local wisdom to develop and solve problem for community. Also student had created concept idea and practice such as corn threshing machine which was an invention of students from Pur School, Nan province by using bicycle as a machine to help elderly people to threshing corn.” This project won many national and international awards in 2019 such as follows:

1. Gold medal from 1^st local wisdom and young innovators, RMUTL Nan province

2. Awarded from National Science and Technology Development Agency (Northern region) at Chiang Mai International Exhibition and Convention Center, Chiang Mai Province, 2019

3. Special Award: Indonesian and Innovation Promotion Association, Indonesia

4. Citizen Innovation: Young Innovator Award from Singapore, Singapore

5. Silver medal from NRCT: National Research Council of Thailand

STEM study of RMUTL is very glad to be a part of the project that supports students to be young inventor that able to develop their local. Consequently, student from Pur School had been accepted as RMUTL student during TCAS 1 (portfolio submission).

According to performance of STEM RMUTL, STEM RMUTL had been given honorable plate from National Science and Technology Development Agency (Northern region) during academic conference and exhibition “strengthen research strong region” on 8-9 February 2019 at Chiang Mai International Exhibition and Convention Center.

Ajarn Wisoot Arsanavijit, lecturer of College of Integrated Science and Technology, as a member of STEM RMUTL team was representative to received honorable plate from Mr. Narong Sirilertwarakul Ph.D., director of National Science and Technology Development Agency for launching STEM study and support “Integrated STEM and local wisdom camp”. Moreover, Mr. Narong Sirilertwarakul Ph.D., had thankful for RMUTL contribution.
